German Prog-Extreme Metallists, DEFEATED SANITY has announced a headlining Asian tour starting March 10th.
A representative of the band commented exclusively to The Black Siren, “We have played Thailand and Japan and Indonesia before but this time we complete the Asian experience!!
People have been wanting to see us forever in some of these places!”
The tour will include Dubai, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Mongolia, Korea, and Japan with ‘more dates coming soon’ and the set will include material from their latest release, Disposal of the Dead.
In November, the band had announced the inclusion of former Obscura and solo artist fretless wonder, Tom ‘Fountainhead’ Geldschlager, especially for their most progressive work to date, the Dharmata. However, it has been confirmed that he will not be participating in the Asian Tour.
The band stated, “The Dharmata stuff is just so progressive and complex that we felt for the first time in a long time that we need a 2nd guitarist again.
That really doesn’t apply to our ‘regular’ material though. Disposal is definitely more regular DS, so there really is no need for two guitars.”
However, Geldschlager reassures that his standing with the band remains positive. “Nothing´s changed between me and Defeated Sanity.”
He adds, “In fact, right now I´m putting the finishing touches on the tabbook for Dharmata [which] I´ve been working on for and with them.”
Geldschlager will, however, be playing with the band at the Netherlands Deathfest on Saturday, 4th March, in a special special performance of Dharmata/Prelude songs featuring Max Phelps on vocals, as well.
