Standing Rock, the historic scene of indigenous people fighting against environmental and corporate corruption of their sacred land, was also made the scene of Dee Snider’s new video called “So What.”

According to Page Six, Snider and his crew escaped uninjured during the filming while protesters around them suffered being fired upon with rubber bullets and tear gas, had ‘flash-bang’ grenades thrown at them and were hosed down by water cannons in subfreezing temperatures.

Snider said, “To see US government state and local authorities, along with hired private security, use this type of extreme violent force against unarmed American citizens in peaceful prayer is the saddest, most disturbing thing I have ever experienced.

I’m glad we were there to capture the truth for all to see.”

Snider’s documentary rock video featuring the Standing Rock footage will be released later this year.
