According to Wales Online, Maiden’s mic master, BRUCE DICKINSON has taken it upon himself to take his employees’ plight personally.
From the article: “Mr Dickinson said yesterday: ‘Unfortunately, monies due to Cardiff Aviation will not have cleared in time for our maintenance, repair and overhaul staff to be paid in full before the holiday weekend.
I have therefore decided to personally pay 50 per cent of wages owed, in advance of Easter’.”
“We anticipate the funds due should clear within the next two weeks – and hopefully sooner – and we will keep staff updated.”
Cardiff Aviation, based at St Athan in the Vale of Glamorgan, currently employs around 150 specialising in aircraft maintenance and repair, as well as providing pilot training.
Meanwhile, Iron Maiden’s Book of Souls World Tour part III is soon to be underway, starting in Beligium on April 22nd.
